Life Links.5 is a specialised program for children 8-13 who are impacted by a range of personal barriers. Life Links.5 works to support healthy and positive social connection, build personal and very individual capacities, strengthen vulnerable children in order to have the personal capability to experience successful future pathways. Life Links.5 operates in a therapeutic, trauma-informed framework understanding the impacts of developmental trauma, disability, poor mental and physical health on brain development, nervous systems, confidence ,personal succes and the sense of belonging.
Life Links is a 'next-step' opportunity for young people 17-24 who have experienced personal barriers, who may have a disability and who wish to develop and strengthen a range of independent living skills in order to support personal capability, growth and increased autonomy.
Life links is a one day a week program that runs for a full school term developing skills in food handling and cooking, barista, first aid, resume and interview skill.
Life Links is designed to increase self efficacy, support employment or education re-engagement pathways as well as provide social connections to participants.
We provide wrap-around case management for all Life Links & Life Links.5 participants offering pathways development, secondary referrals, community connection and individual support ensuring the development of personal capability, growth, increased autonomy., health and wellbeing and personal safety.
